Ex-Flying Eagles Player, Musa Kadiri, Dies In US

Former Nigeria international, Musa Nosa Kadiri, died in Brooklyn, New York, on Friday, July 24, at the age of 53, according reports.

Kadiri, was said to have bled in the brain after falling from his storey apartment and subsequently went into coma.

Sources say the funeral of the deceased will take place on Thursday, July 30.

The former player who later took to coaching attended Egba Grammar School, Egba, in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo state (now known as Iyayi Effianayi Grammar School), began his football career at a tender age of five (5) in Benin City.

Kadiri will be remembered for gathering a pool of former Nigeria internationals to form a club known as Nigeria United in 1995.

He also founded Young Rock Soccer Academy, a non-profit outfit which was aimed at discovering and nurturing kids between 4 -15 years of age in 2002.
