The appointment of Enugu Rangers General Manager, Prince Davidson Owumi, as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the League Management Company (LMC) has been given a seal of confirmation.
The confirmation took place at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Extra Ordinary Congress which started in Benin City, Edo State capital, on Saturday.
The former Nigeria Premier League CEO takes over from his predecessor, Nduka Irabor, who resigned from his position last year.
Before now, Owumi had also occupied the position of Managing Director/CEO of Delta-state owned club, Warri Wolves, as well as a Board Member of Nigeria Premier League.
The Deltan-born administrator guided Rangers International FC to win the 2018 Aiteo Cup competition.
In his playing days, Owumi started his footballing career with Government College, Ughelli before going to NEPA FC and NNPC FC (all in Warri).
He later moved to the then Flash Flamingoes of Benin, Bendel United and Sharks of Port Harcourt while his career also took him to countries like Qatar, Spain, Greece and Cyprus as a professional player.
