The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), founded in Lome, Togo, in 1981, has attained 40 years.
The Association which is affiliated to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the umbrella body of the 54 National Olympic Committees of Africa has its headquarter in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In a release made available by Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) media department on Sunday, Abuja will be agog with activities lined up to
mark the 40th anniversary this week.
ANOCA is presently headed by Algerian-born sports administrator, Mustapha Berraf, who took office as President in 2018.
