Super Eagles and Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, is reported to have been prevented from entering Poland by immigration on Wednesday, after an error was discovered in his documents.
Iheanacho was included in Leicester City squad getting set for the Europa League group C clash against Legia Warsaw on Thursday. According to reports, the Nigeria international had to travel back to the UK following the incident.
While reacting to the development, Leceister City manager, Brendan Rodgers, said, “We’ve had an issue with Kelechi. His documentation coming into the country wasn’t sufficient, so he wasn’t able to travel. He will be unavailable for the game”.
In addition, Wilfred Ndidi has also been banned from the game because of red card suspension.
“Leicester city will be without both Wilfred Ndidi (red card suspension) and Kelechi Iheanacho (denied entry to Poland by Polish immigration) for their match against Legia Warsaw”, disclosed Brendan Rogers.
Legia tops Group C after beating Spartak Moscow 1-0 in their opening game while Leicester drew 2-2 with Napoli.
