Nigeria Football Federation’s 1st Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi, was bestowed with the prestigious African Sports Management award during the 5th edition of the biennial event which took place in the State House of The Gambia in Banjul on Friday.
The recognition is one of the latest high profile awards the Lagos State Football Association Chairman have received in recent time.
Gambian President, Adama Barrow, was also honoured at the event. The award was received on his behalf by his Vice President, Her Excellency, Isatou Touray.
The Vice President of Africa Sports Management Association (ASMA), Professor Oluwaseun Omotayo, was among top personalities who graced the event.
The last edition of the awardS ceremony took place in Nairobi, Kenya, under the auspicies of African Sports Management Association.
