With few days to the much anticipated clash between the Black Stars of Ghana and Nigeria’s Super Eagles, more players have arrived the Abuja camp of the coach Augustine Eguavoen’s led team, ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup first leg playoff.

As at the time of filing this report, a total of 13 players were said to be in camp while others invited for the game are being expected.

Captain Ahmed Musa, William Troost-Ekong, Kelechi Iheanacho, Shehu Abdullahi, Francis Uzoho, Oghenekaro Etebo, Leon Balogun, Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka, Odion Ighalo and Daniel Akpeyi, are those in camp.

However, there is a growing concern in the Eaglea camp following the absence of Watford forward, Emmanuel Dennis, who was expected to arrive with his EPL teammates to stay away considering the time available for the team to prepare for the crucial encounter.

No smile for Eguavoen

This development is said to be a source of worry for Eagles coach, Augustine Eguavoen, who is not happy about the player’s attitude.

The Eagles will have their first training session at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Tuesday before departing for Kumasi in Ghana, on Wednesday for the all-important game holding on Friday.

The reverse fixture will take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Tuesday, March 29.
