League Management Company Chief Executive Officer, Davidson Owumi, has been described as a God-sent who has the qualities to uplift the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), following his recent appointment as the league body’s CEO.

This was made known by Prime Sports Radio, an Enugu-based sports radio station during a courtesy visit to Owumi on Saturday, March 26.

While welcoming members of staff of the broadcast outfit, Owumi commended the new station for exercising professionanism in the short period of its broadcast activities, adding that the establishment of the outfit is the best thing to happen to the South East and South South regions of the country.

“I want to appreciate your station’s effort in the way and manner you have carried out your activities so far”.

“It’s encouraging, and I advise the station to continue to show exemplary qualities in that regard”

The top football administrator also enjoined the outfit to continue to imbibe the culture of good reportage through constructive criticisms.

“Today, what we lack in a lot of radio or television stations in the country is good reportage”.

“The way people turn things around without facts make a mess of what is expected from the media”

“Therefore, I would enjoin your outfit to ensure there is a balance of two sides to a story. By, doing that, you would have succeeded in carving a niche for yourselves”, stated Owumi.

In response, Prime Sports Radio Head of Programs, Frankie Omokhua, who led the entourage on the visit thanked Owumi for his unalloyed support and advise to the outfit.

Omokhua promised the Delta-born football administrator of the station’s determination to continue to do its best as part of efforts to change the face of sports broadcasting in Nigeria.

He assured Owumi of the station’s total support towards his drive to help develop the Nigerian League.

Other members of Prime Sports Radio who were on the visit include, Head of DJ, Babatunde Depeolu, Akpan Mmenyene, Kingsley Ogar and Chiedozie Emechebe.
