Top German Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund, featured Nigerian Afro hip-hop star, Davido, as their musical artiste of the week.
As a routine culture, the German club always add musical artistes to a line up of weekly features ahead of their league games.
Therefore, the choice of the Nigerian was sealed as they took on RB Leipzig on Saturday. Dortmund lost the home game against Leipzig 4-1.
However, Dortmund initially shared a photo of their captain, Marco Reus, with the caption “Son Of Dortmund” before adding Davido’s photo with the caption “Son of Mercy”.
Davido, had made history on Friday after featuring in FIFA’s 2022 Qatar World Cup Theme song “Hayya Hayya (Better Together) alongside American star, Trinidad Cordona and Qatari singer, Aisha.
The song was released on Friday in line with the World Cup draw held in Doha, Qatar.
