The confusion which has besieged the employment of a new Super Eagles Technical Adviser has continued with no quick solution in sight, following the disagreement between Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare and Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick.

Latest reports say Dare and Pinnick are presently at loggerheads over the choice of a new coach.

This disagreement is creating fears among Nigerians on the chances of the Eagles qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to hold in Ivory Coast.

Sources say while the NFF Board has already decided to employ Portuguese Jose Paseiro on a 2-year deal, the sports minister has refused to endorse the decision.

The minister’s action according to the source is not unconnected with his decision to ensure the space is thrown open for every applicant to be given the chance to vie for the position in order to get the best tactician to handle the team.

With the 2023 AFCON qualifiers set to begin in few weeks from now, Nigeria’s preparation is in near disarray without a coach.

Already, the Eagles have been drawn in Group A alongside Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principle or Mauritius.
