Nigeria’s Odunayo Adekuoroye claimed her seventh gold medal at the African Wrestling Championship in El Jadida, Morocco, on Saturday.
Adekuoroye, who moved up to the 59kg category overcame Siwar Bouseta of Tunisian, winning 12-2.
The two-time Commonwealth Games champion had also defeated Atika El Asla (12-1), Bouseta (11-0), and Congo’s Parfaite Mambou (10-0) in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Mercy Adekuoroye, Odunayo’s younger sister, won her first senior title in the 53kg category of continental competition.
Mercy defeated Ivorian Nogona Bakayoko 9-1 in the final.
