Update: NFF Downplays Club Owners Vote To End League Season

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has declared that wide consultation is still ongoing as to the format and pattern of foreclosing the 2019/2020 Football Season, including that of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL. Reacting to widespread reports that a vast majority of club owners in the Nigeria Professional Football League had voted to end the season and therefore, the Points Per Game (PPG) principle would be adopted to determine Nigeria’s flagbearers in next year’s continental club competitions. COVID 19: UEFA Relax Financial Fair Play Rules

*To allow clubs recover from losses UEFA has announced they are relaxing Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules to allow struggling clubs to balance the accounts in response to the coronavirus pandemic With matches behind closed doors and clubs facing a drop in TV and matchday  revenue, UEFA's executive committee met via videoconference on Thursday to form their plan to help clubs ease through the financial uncertainty.  The break-even assessment - which forces clubs playing in the Champions League and Europa League to spend only what they earn - of club finances for 2020 will be postponed.

Winner of Anthony Joshua-Tyson Fury fight would face Oleksandr Usyk – says WBO

WBO president, Francisco Valcarcel, has stepped ahead of the curve regarding the announcement of a two-fight deal between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, insisting that the winner of the series will face Ukranian boxer, Oleksandr Usyk. "I would love to see WBO champion, Anthony Joshua, unify titles with former WBO champion and current WBC (World Boxing Council) champ, Tyson Fury, for the undisputed heavyweight championship, but, the next challenger should be the mandatory challenger for the WBO," Valcárcel said.
